Skin needling is a safe procedure with minimal risks. Scarring and infections are rare when pre- and post-care instructions are followed carefully.

Pre & Post-Care Instructions

For optimal results, and to reduce any risks, follow these essential guidelines:

Before Your Treatment:

• Avoid excessive exercise and sweating for 48 hours before and after treatment.
• Stay away from saunas, hot baths, or spas 48 hours before and after.
• Avoid solariums, spray tans, or excessive sun exposure for at least 14 days before treatment.
• Refrain from IPL, microdermabrasion, lasers, or chemical peels for at least 7 days prior to treatment.
• Refrain from cosmetic injectables for 7-14 days.
• Refrain from resurfacing treatments for 4 weeks.

After Your Treatment:

• Protect your skin by avoiding direct sun exposure for 7 days post-treatment. Always use an SPF 50+ daily.
• Continue with your Lira Core 4 Skincare to enhance results and protect your skin.
• Avoid swimming in chlorinated or saltwater pools for 7 days.
• Avoid makeup application for up to 3 days after the treatment.
• Refrain from using active ingredients (e.g., exfoliants or scrubs) for 7 days post-peel.
• Do not pick, scratch, or peel any flaking skin. Allow it to shed naturally.
• Avoid heated environments until inflammation has subsided.
• Keep skin well-hydrated with the aftercare products recommended by your clinician.

What Will My Skin Look Like After Treatment?

Post-treatment, your skin will likely appear red and feel sunburned, with redness lasting 24-48 hours depending on the treatment depth. Days 3-5 may bring tightness, dryness, and mild to moderate flaking. If an Environ Peel is added to your treatment, more noticeable flaking may occur. Mild breakouts may also appear as the skin responds to stimulation.

How Often Should I Have This Treatment?

To achieve optimal results, skin needling is typically recommended every 4-6 weeks. Treatments should not be performed less than 28 days apart to allow proper healing.
